It’s now 2017! Here’s Korea’s Mech Taking It’s First Steps!

Vitaly Bulgarov, has posted a video on Facebook that shows his robot take its first steps. The machine 13-feet-tall, 1.3-ton designed to work in extreme conditions, where people can not go unprotected.  It will not be able to go on rescue missions anytime soon; not without a power source that is portable enough.

Bulgarov says the company’s short-term goal is to develop a tethered robot platform with industrial applications. The company can also mount the upper part of a wider wheelbase that can accommodate a chunky power source if it is really necessary to traverse rough terrain.
